Zuiderzee Museum has a big part of its display focused on representing a live reenactment of a moment in the history of The Netherlands, with actors playing characters of a distant past.
Project Wea’ve Made was a tentative in understanding how performance could be used as a tool to teach a technique of weaving.
A Ramellar is a Dutch kids’ toy made of 7 willows weaved in a cocoon-shaped to house 7 stones. We designed a replicable performance where 7 participants ‘dance’ around a central object, weaving a cord that eventually unites them.
The project was executed in collaboration with Chelsea Hsu and Manon Ritaly.
